I had similar error when I try to install SAP HANA SPS8.

I tried couple of times but each time had same error.

something working with Import of delivery units on SPS8 install.

so I did install with out Import of delivery units.

if you need to install SPS8 please using this:

./hdblcm --action=install --hdbinst_server_import_content=off

or

./hdblcmgui --action=install --hdbinst_server_import_content=off

and let me know if you found the way to install SPS8 successfully.
