Here is my suggestion(some may say it is a bit unconventional):-
Discuss with the functional colleagues/business about the requirement and try to come to a conclusion that
The user should be able to search and be able to see results only based on the user status(E*).
Put an enhancement and Remove the system status values from the search parameter drop down.
Show only the CONCATSTATUSER in the results.
