David, there is no solution yet for the 3rd file (transaction details). Previously SAP promised some update mid-December, but I haven't seen anything yet. As soon as there is an update I'm sure someone will post here. There is also an option to subscribe to the OSS note - you'll get an email when it's updated.
You're correct, it was not mentioned specifically that note corrects the GUI short dump, but it was resolved. It's not unusual for SAP not to state all the errors resolved or all the scenarios.
Regarding no data - make sure you also implement BADI, see the posts above. I'm not sure about the trial balance, but there must be account balances in the FAGLFLEXT table if you're using new GL (different table for old GL).
Maybe we should start some kind of FAQ page (wiki?) on this - this thread keeps growing and we seem to be going in circles already...
