One thing you can check is whether you are using this parameter &Session=false if you are calling MII via Illuminator HTTP services interface from another application.
The Session=false prevents MII from creating User sessions for every HTTP Post.
Sam send a note as below when I asked about this parameter &Session=false.
You should include this parameter when calling to MII from another application.
By default all HTTP(S) requests to MII will return an authentication cookie and user session id in order to enable the client (assumed to be a web browser) to make subsequent requests to the server without having to log back in. However, other clients are able to consume the MII services interface that do not use the cookie or session in the request and so this Session parameter can be set “false” in the URL request in order to prevent these types of applications from generating lots of user sessions on the MII server; common to see with products like SAP Process Integrator and SAP Manufacturing Execution.
